The European Vocational Skills Week 2017 was an opportunity for the EAN to highlight the importance of listening to the apprentices themselves. Present in several panels, as well as recognised with the award granted to one of our members – Hannah Colston – we made sure to be visible and heard.
Apart from taking part in all main events of the Skills Week, taking place in Brussels, EAN members have also had dedicated meeting. Topics discussed included the plans for activities in 2018 – with a mapping of apprentices representation structures, and preparation of communication material to share more on our priorities. Members have also discussed possible future scenarios for the EAN – current mandate extends only till the end of 2018, and we want to ensure continuity of the work started, and yet better representation of apprentices at European level.
