2026 Annual Meeting of the European Apprentices Network

As vocational education and training (VET) and apprenticeships take a more central position in European policies and labour market, their attractiveness remains a core issue – but what do learners and apprentices want from this? Discover it at “Dimensions of VET attractiveness: learners’ take”, the 2026 Annual Meeting of the European Apprentices Network (EAN), taking place in Brussels, Belgium, on 8 and 9 December 2026.

This event will bring together EAN members, fellow apprentices, learners, and youth representatives from across Europe for two days of discussion, collaboration and networking focused on making VET and apprenticeships more attractive, participatory and impactful for learners.

Shape the conversation on the future of apprenticeships

This year’s meeting will focus on a key question currently facing Europe’s education and training: how can we make VET and apprenticeships more attractive to all learners?

The programme will feature contributions from the European Commission, learner representatives, and other key VET stakeholders, keeping learners’ voices at the heart of the discussion.

Through inspiring keynote contributions, interactive discussions and collaborative workshops, participants will be able to explore the different aspects of what makes a VET system appealing, welcoming, and engaging for learners, engage and connect with leading European and national stakeholders working in VET, exchange experiences with peers from across Europe, and contribute ideas on how apprenticeships can better support learners’ aspirations and career development.

Help shape the future of the European Apprentices Network

A key objective of the Annual Meeting is to provide EAN members with a platform to influence the Network’s future activities and priorities.

Interactive workshop sessions will allow participants to give their perspectives, discuss shared challenges, and identify areas where the EAN can further strengthen its support for apprentices and learners across Europe. The programme also includes a dedicated session focused on the future development of the EAN itself.

Whether you are a longstanding member or attending for the first time, the meeting is an opportunity to make your voice heard and help shape the future of the network.

Continue the conversation at the annual EAfA-ETF Seminar

Following the EAN Member Meeting, a selected group of EAN representatives will attend the 11th annual EAfA-ETF Seminar.

The Seminar brings together policymakers, practitioners, social partners, training providers and apprenticeship experts from across Europe, offering an excellent opportunity to continue discussions, expand networks and gain further insights into developments in the field.
