In March 2024 the European Commission opened a consultation on Traineeships.
The website of the European Commission reads:

This initiative will help Member States improve and enforce working conditions for trainees, as well as combat regular employment relationships disguised as traineeships.

In the framework of the annual European Apprentices Network meeting, Skyla Thomas facilitated a consultation to gather input from EAN’s diverse membership.
